On October 28th, First Meridian participated in a Joint Career event, organized by her trusted partner Eldorado Offshore. With approximately 400 participants logged in to the event, potential candidates got more insight on the available and mandatory courses needed for the Maritime- and Offshore O&G industry.
First Meridian is constantly making progress in supporting building the Local Content in Suriname and Guyana.
Local Content
Moving forward First Meridian offers a number of STCW approved courses, as well as other (mandatory) safety related courses, and we are continuously expanding our curriculum. These were also touched upon during the career event.
STCW courses
Starting February 2021, we will have additional equipment available, where we can expand our simulations for the Maritime courses. Besides the international STCW accreditation, we have recently requested the accreditation of our Local Maritime Authority MAS, which is in progress and is expected to be approved in due course.
The lifeboat simulation will be our latest addition, to be used by course takers soon. :
